Last Week In England

Okay I've been like super busy since I came back to Finland and I have to admit I kind of did forget this blog for quite a while.. But now I finally remembered what I was suppose to do ages ago which is a final post to this blog. I'm also going to tell you about the last week that I had in England since I did a lot of stuff then haha.

During the last week I did a lot and saw all the people I could before I left England. I have to admit I did get a bit emotional at times but luckily England isn't that far away from Finland so I can always go for a visit (: Anyway I'll show you pics so you'll see all the things I did haha.

First ever proper curry!

All the gifts I got from people, love you guys <3

When I flew back to Finland, first I had to fly to Paris where I had never been in so I was a bit scared. It was a really big airport and quite confusing as well haha but I survived after all. I had to wait quite a few hours at the airport before I catched my flight to Finland so travelling from Bham took the whole day haha.

I honestly can not believe it's been over a year since I started my journey. The time flew by so fast and half of the time I didn't even realise that I have to leave England after a while. I did really like my year even tho it wasn't exactly what I had in mind before I left Finland haha. I am really glad I made that many good friends and met amazing people during my year.

As I said in the beginning this will be my last post in this blog so I really hope you've enjoyed reading my blog even tho I've forgot about it sometimes haha :D I really can say that I learned a lot during that year and I wouldn't change it even though sometimes it didn't go exactly according to plan. And an advice for the exchange students to come or who are in their countries already: just enjoy every single day in your exchange country because a year will fly by so fast.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London: The Making Of Harry Potter

The people who know me personally know that I do like Harry Potter. Quite a lot. And since I'm in England I had to visit Harry Potter world. Darren was kind enough to join me so I didn't have to go there alone and he was driving as well so I didn't have to pay for the train tickets haha. Even though I first had to go to Milton Keynes and Darren picked me up from there but that wasn't too bad though.

In my opinion the whole thing was ok but I feel like I expected it to be a bit more than that. There were just props from all the movies basically in one room and they didn't even have a certain order they were just there. They had all the original costumes that they used in the film but the dolls that were wearing them either didn't have faces or didn't have heads which didn't really make it feel real in a way. I mean it was a nice place to visit but I'm not sure if it was worth £33 for one person to go in.. I would probably enjoy more going to the actually castle that it was filmed in but that is personal so other people might enjoy Harry Potter World more.

Anyway that tour took about two hours for us to go through even though they said it would take like 3-5h to get trough it all.. :D Well at least I've visited the place now so I know what it is. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!

6 days left

Oh my.. I haven't even realised that the time has gone so fast.. So basically I've got 6 days left here in England and I think it's safe to say that I'm panicking a bit haha. I have already started to think about packing and I'm pretty sure I have to send some stuff over to Finland because otherwise my bags will be too heavy :D So I just have to find a box from somewhere..

Okay I've got mixed feelings about leaving.. I feel like I could go to Finland for a month or two and then just come back here. It will also be so weird not to see all these people in a long time and go back to the life that I had in Finland. I'll get used to it though, eventually.

Today I went to a place called Boston Tea Party with Anette and had my first brunch ever! And of course because it was the first brunch ever I had to have pancakes and then also a kiwi, banana and orange smoothie. I was really excited and happy since that got me out of bed earlier and I feel like I had the whole day left haha. We stayed there for like 1,5h just talking about stuff and eating our delicious breakfast.

After the brunch we met Peter and since there was a carneval outside we checked that out. They had different kind of rides and bouncy castles over there and some booths were you can win stuff or buy food. We went to one ride and walked back to Peter's flat which wasn't far from there. There we then had tea and biscuits (so English) and we just chilled out.

Apparently there are more canals in Birmingham than there are in Venice. Just a fact for you guys haha.

I guess now I have to go to Tesco's and ask if they could give me a box haha such a weirdo.. I hope you had a really nice week and weekend!
