Milton Keynes

During this weekend I was in Milton Keynes with the first county team. I didn't play my best over there which seems like it's everyday for me nowadays...

Anyways we left at 9.30am on Saturday and it took about 1,5h to get to Milton Keynes because some roads were closed. We drove straight to the hall and our first match started at 11.30am. We won 7-3 as we lost 3 of our singles but won one and won all doubles and 2 mixed. The second one started at 15.30 and before that we had a presentation for some of our players who had been playing for a long time. Unfortunately my phone wasn't with me then so I couldn't take photos of all the amazing cakes that we had haha. We won our second match 7-3 as well and won the same matches as in the last one. Then we headed to our hotel which was like 10-15min away from the national badminton center.

After we all had showered, we went for a meal in Harvester which was literally right next to the hotel. The food was really good and ofc I ate chicken and bbq sauce because why not (; we were there until the clock was about 10.30pm or something. Then we headed back to the hotel and some of us went for a night out and some of us (including me) stayed in the lobby for a while and then went to bed because we were so knackered. And we got one hour less sleep because the clock was moved backwards that night as well..

Most of the guys were on the table next to us haha

On Sunday morning we woke up around 8am, got ready and went to breakfast. I really do love hotel breakfasts because there are so many different things that you can eat without making any effort to do it yourself haha. After breakfast we all headed to the hall and played our last match which we lost 7-3. And after that we packed our things and the journey home began.

The only cakes I took a pic of..

I really enjoyed that weekend even though the matches didn't go as well as they could've. I hope I get to enjoy Prem weekends someday in the future as well. Hope you all had a good weekend!

Our lovely team xx
Thank you!

County matches

Last weekend I had my last (ever) 2nd team county match and I had been ill for 3-4 days before that so it didn't go that well but I just wanted to say thank you for everyone. Thank you for the people who gave me the chance to play in Warwickshire, the people who played with me, the people who always gave me a lift because I had no idea where to go haha and to everyone who was basically a part of the second team or any supporters haha. I really did have a really good time on our trips and everywhere we went to play so I am really grateful (: I hope to see many of you in the future as well!

Now I still have one 1st team county weekend left, tomorrow and Sunday. Let's hope that it goes well for our whole team ;) Have a great weekend everyone and I will blog more after the weekend!

All England

Yes I am totally aware that tournament called All England was like 3 weeks ago but better late than never right? ;) Anyway so this was my first time ever being involved to one of Europe's biggest badminton tournaments. I have some photos of the hall and all that and then I will also tell you a bit about the week in general because my family and some family friends from Finland came for a visit.

I was there doing the court mopping on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and then late on Thursday I went to the airport to get my family and friends and then we went to our apartment together, where we were staying for their stay(and I stayed with them). To be honest I did in a way enjoy the mopping because 1st of all I got to see amazing matches and good players playing badminton, 2nd I got a free entry and a tshirt(I know right!) and 3rd I also got some vouchers for food so my day just got a lot better haha. At first it was a bit weird because I had never seen so many good players in one hall at the same time playing against each other..

I had tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday even though we decided not to go on Friday because everyone else wanted me to show them around and go shopping so we did that instead. I really enjoyed it though and especially when I had one of my best friends here as well.

Our apartment was like right next to NIA (which is the arena where All England was held) which was really good because it meant that we didn't have to travel a lot or anything. It was really nice as well because it was big and it had basically everything you needed.

All the Finnish people left early on Monday morning so I went to the airport with them and straight from there to college. Yes I was really tired.. :D

I had a really busy and fun week and now I will show you some photos of it as well. Hope you've had a lovely week so far!
